Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to plan, execute, and manage commissioning across utility-scale solar, storage, SCADA, and substations nationwide. You will lead the commissioning phase with EPC scope, coordinating with owners, site engineers, and management to ensure on-time, compliant turnover.

The role requires overseeing pre-, cold, warm, and hot commissioning, witnessing tests, and ensuring readiness and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Experience leading HV substation or BESS commissioning projects is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, scopes of work, specs, IFC drawings, and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the assigned HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2-3 concurrent projects, including deliverables and schedule.
• Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan, milestone/deliverables register, and resource forecast.
• Translate contracts, technical specs, interconnection requirements, permits, OEMs, and company standards into an executable plan.
• Prioritize issues and make day-to-day decisions within scope; escalate safety or contractual concerns as needed.
• Track progress, provide daily/weekly reporting to commissioning and project leadership.
• Lead readiness reviews ensuring safety, quality, and staffing prerequisites are met before testing.
