Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company LLC's WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Solar Field Commissioning Manager for a 1-year contract. You will oversee subcontractors and OEMs' installation, drive quality, plant testing, ISO/GIA/PPA testing, and startup of solar PV power systems as the Owner's representative. Location: US travel and stay at project locations; travel up to 75%.
Remote support for SCADA monitoring and commissioning portfolio management. Reports To: Senior Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Utility-scale solar PV installation and startup knowledge.
- Understanding PV inverters, DC/collection, MV collection, and plant controls/SCADA.
- Experience with commissioning processes and substation testing.
- Familiarity with PLCs and industrial electronics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee subcontractors and OEMs installation on solar facilities.
- Lead quality, plant testing, ISO/GIA/PPA testing, and startup activities.
- Manage construction turnover, pre-energization, commissioning and performance testing.
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly progress reporting to senior management.
