Job summary

MasTec Renewables, comprising Wanzek Construction, IEA Constructors, and White Construction, seeks a Commissioning Lead for utility-scale solar projects. You will direct, plan, and manage commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through handover, traveling across the US to project sites.

The role requires strong leadership, comprehensive commissioning knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure on-time handover and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Commissioning experience on solar, BESS or wind construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of utility-scale Solar projects to ensure policy compliance and safety.
• Prepare detailed commissioning schedules from pre-commissioning to final commissioning.
• Determine the size and responsibilities of the commissioning team for each site.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities per company policies and laws.
• Prepare and commission documents for each site per contract obligations.
• Manage 3rd‑party testing and verify reported results.
