Job summary

Moss Energy is seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead startup and delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will supervise commissioning teams, manage onsite activities, and ensure electrical systems meet safety and performance standards before energization.

The role requires leadership, extensive field experience, and ability to coordinate with construction, SCADA, and utility partners across multiple states. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership in commissioning electrical systems for solar/BESS projects.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical testing methods and NETA standards.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and protective relays.
• Proven field execution management and project reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and commissioning of medium- and low-voltage systems including inverters.
• Oversee NETA-based testing: Megger, VOC, VLF, TTR.
• Manage startup, energization, and troubleshooting of AC/DC components.
• Review drawings and ensure installation quality and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with construction, SCADA, and utility partners for integration.
• Finalize commissioning docs and turnover packages.
• Enforce NEC/NFPA 70E safety and site safety requirements.
• Audit energy isolation procedures to maintain zero incidents.
• Assist Director with resource planning, scheduling, and reporting.
