Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement, administer, and coordinate safety policies and programs across projects. You will lead safety trainings, audits, and incident investigations to prevent injuries and incidents.

EMT or higher credentials are strongly preferred, with projected emphasis on regulatory compliance and safety culture. The role requires travel, strong communication, and the ability to develop corrective actions with operations, while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• EMT or higher credentials preferred.
• Experience in construction safety; telecommunications or electrical industry preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fully support all IES and Site/Customer safety policies, procedures and programs.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with IES Safety Policies, Procedures and Programs.
• Perform safety presentations and related training as required.
• Schedule and perform documented jobsite safety audits/inspections.
• Oversee and maintain confined space entry activities and training requirements.
• Identify hazards and develop safety action plans with operations.
• Deliver safety orientation and OSHA training.
• Coordinate safety trainings for management and field personnel.
• Prepare written reports on safety audits and incidents.
• Conduct root cause investigations on incidents and near misses.
