Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Traveling Recertification Specialist to travel to multifamily communities and requalify residents for occupancy. This role includes on-site and remote work, with authority to enforce best practices in (re)certification under Compliance leadership.

Required is 3+ years in affordable housing management, LIHTC/Section 8 experience, valid driver's license, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience with affordable multifamily housing management.
• LIHTC, COS, USDA-RD & other industry program certifications essential.
• LIHTC, Section 8, USDA-RD and other housing experience essential

Responsibilities

• Travel to selected communities, portfolio-wide, as directed.
• Interact with other field-based teammates in accordance with Michaels' mission statement and core values.
• Conduct applicant interviews and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information.
• Schedule resident recertification interviews.
• Ensure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc. and the completion of the (re)certification.
• Coordinate apartment inspections for recertifications (in tandem with the Rental Manager).
• Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy.
• Perform any and all other duties as requested or assigned
