Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Recertification Specialist to qualify new residents and requalify existing tenants. Under the Community Manager, you will manage interviews, processing paperwork, and coordinate certifications while maintaining accurate resident files and adhering to policy.

This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task under time constraints, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• One or more years' experience with residential real estate management.
• Tax Credit, Section & Public Housing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of college preferred.
• After hiring, will complete all company required certifications training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property waiting list.
• Conduct applicant interviews and determine eligibility.
• Coordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information.
• Schedule resident recertification interviews.
• Ensure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc.
• Seek & obtain Compliance Department approval for new move-ins and selected recertifications.
• Work with maintenance staff for timely move-in/ move-out of residents.
• Coordinate apartment inspections for recertification's.
• Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy.
• Assist office staff on other tasks, including social media marketing outlets.
• Perform other duties that may arise.
