Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance service, inspections, safety checks, and minor repairs on equipment at external or HIAB locations, with work centered in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas.

This role requires 1+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card required within 1 year.
• Valid driver's license required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in two years.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• This position requires 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quote, and conduct service or repair on equipment as instructed by District Service Manager.
• Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with standards.
• Stay up to date with technical developments and follow training as directed.
• Follow safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
• Promote Hiab brand and follow the Quality System.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
