Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. Travel to external HIAB locations is required, following Manager's instructions.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing equipment, documenting findings, and staying current with technical bulletins. A valid driver’s license and 100% travel are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver’s License required; driving record limits.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• This position requires 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment.
• Keep adequate records and maintain documentation per standards.
• Stay updated with technical developments via bulletins and courses.
• Follow safety rules and environmental requirements.
• Promote Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
