Job summary

HIAB USA is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician for the Detroit, MI area. You will perform preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor repairs on equipment at Hiab locations under the District Service Manager’s direction.

You must have 1+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience, a valid driver's license, and be able to travel 100% of the time. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and customer relations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• 100% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quotes, and perform service or repair on equipment (Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, etc.).
• Maintain records and documentation per standards.
• Stay current with technical developments via internal bulletins and courses.
• Follow safety rules and environmental requirements.
