Job summary

Hiab is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance and service on the company’s equipment at external sites in line with district instructions. You will support productive customer relationships while adhering to Hiab’s best practices.

The role requires travel across our coverage area (Monclova, OH facility with service in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas). You will inspect, diagnose, and repair multiple lift and crane systems while maintaining accurate service

Qualifications

• MUST have mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience.
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record as per company policy.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain within stated timeframe.
• Willingness to travel 100% and work at customer sites.
• Education meets High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and report findings; initiate quotes; service or repair as directed.
• Maintain records and documentation per standards.
• Stay updated with technical bulletins and complete required trainings.
• Follow safety rules, environmental requirements, and quality system.
