Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at customer sites or Hiab locations. Work is in line with the District Service Manager’s instructions and aims to support productive customer relationships.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a DOT medical card, and 1+ years of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience, plus diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues on forklifts, cranes,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment as instructed by District Service Manager.
• Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with standards.
• Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal serviceBulletins and take instructed courses.
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Promote a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow the Quality System.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
