Job summary

Hiab, based in Monclova, OH, seeks a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance and service on a range of equipment at customer sites in Detroit, MI and surrounding areas. The base facility is in Monclova, but all preventive maintenance work will be conducted regionally.

The role requires 100% travel, a valid driver's license, and a DOT Medical Card. You will diagnose, repair, document findings, and strive to uphold Hiab's standards while pursuing sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• This position requires 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, report findings, initiate quotes, and conduct service or repair on equipment per District Service Manager instructions.
• Maintain records and documentation to standard.
• Stay current with technical developments via internal bulletins and training.
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Promote Hiab brand and follow Quality System rules.
• Identify sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
