Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites, and lead crew members when needed. The role requires CDL, physical stamina, and willingness to travel, including out-of-state assignments.

Safety is emphasized with PPE, gloving, hot-stick methods, and mandatory safety briefings. Outdoor work in all weather, with overtime and on-call rotations expected.

Qualifications

  • Five years of recent overhead line experience.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and repair overhead distribution systems, on energized and de-energized lines.
  • Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
  • Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
  • Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
  • Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques and troubleshoot faults.
  • Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and insulated protection for voltage differences.
  • Climb structures of wood, steel, or concrete using approved methods.
  • Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
