Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent/Foreman for Foundations projects in the upper Midwest.

You will manage daily site activities, lead field personnel, and ensure work is performed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a minimum of five years overseeing crews on foundation installations (piledriving, micropiles, caisson, helical piles) and proficiency with safety training and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience overseeing a crew on foundations projects.
• Experience with piledriving, micropiles, caisson, and helical piles.
• Oversee safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple jobs.
• OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read policies, construction plans, and legal docs.
• Strong communication and scheduling skills.
• Proven ability to manage field personnel in compliance with Veit policies.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Communicates daily with General Superintendents on workforce and equipment needs.
• Schedules subcontractors to complete work per subcontractor agreements.
• Maintains safe working environment and enforces safety procedures.
• Conducts daily Job Hazard Awareness meetings and weekly safety topics.
• Keeps daily records: logs, equipment and materials schedules, timecards.
