Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Engineer to lead health and safety on job sites, ensure quality reporting and workmanship, and advise Project Management on contractual issues. Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in construction.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of computers; experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varying climates and environments.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed materials.
• Assist in preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets.
• Assist in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite.
• Supervise field operations.
• Perform material takeoffs and basic engineering drafting to support field operations.
• Assist Engineers with data for submittals and communications.
• Assist in purchase orders and subcontracts; perform minor solicitations as requested.
• Assist in schedule maintenance and project recordkeeping.
• Assist with data entry into the job cost system and review cost reports.
• Assist in generating change orders and as-built data for Project Manager review.
• Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
