Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Engineer to lead projects on site, ensuring safety, quality reporting, and professional execution. You will report to the Project Manager and support contract administration, planning, scheduling, and project reporting across major construction sites.

The role requires field experience, ability to travel or relocate as needed, and collaboration with multiple teams to optimize execution and safety in energy district projects.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional construction experience.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs.
• Assist in preparation of work plans and packages.
• Support in field surveying, elevations, and as-built data collection.
• Assist in daily labor timesheets and JHA preparation.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups.
• Supervise field operations.
• Assist in estimating and plan reviews as needed.
