Job summary

Kiewit Energy seeks an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to lead electrical field engineering on EPC projects for the Oil, Gas, & Chemical market. You will drive health and safety, quality reporting, and professional workmanship on complex installations.

The role covers electrical planning, scheduling, procurement, and coordination with clients and design teams, with travel across the United States as projects require.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a degree in Construction Management or related degree.
• At least 3 years of electrical construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code.
• Familiarity with project scheduling and cost control; ability to read specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s).
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, oversee safety programs and owner relations.
• Partner with Superintendents and Field Engineers to mentor and lead electrical teams on project execution.
