Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Engineer to lead health and safety efforts on major projects and ensure quality workmanship in the field. You will report to the Project Manager and contribute to contract administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting.

The role requires travel to job sites nationwide, with responsibilities spanning field and office engineering, estimating support, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• 2+ years of professional construction experience.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations safety and quality on major projects.
• Assist in contract administration, planning and scheduling.
• Prepare reports, data, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project management on issues and changes.
• Support field and office engineering tasks including takeoffs and submittals.
