Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to lead electrical field activities on EPC projects for the Oil, Gas, & Chemical market. You will drive electrical planning, scheduling, procurement, and reporting on site, with responsibilities spanning project coordination and vendor management.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and collaboration with Superintendents and design teams across diverse projects. Travel and relocation may be required across the country.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of electrical construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety and federal & OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code.
• Understanding of project scheduling and cost control; ability to read specifications and drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling/estimating tools listed.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining % of completed work.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHA’s).
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
• Prepare plans, assure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, ensure safety programs and maintain owner relations.
• Partner with Superintendents, Field Engineers, and craft on project within electrical discipline; mentor and lead for Electrical Field teams.
