Job summary

Kiewit Energy District is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Engineer to lead health and safety, ensure quality reporting and workmanship, and support field operations on major projects. This mid-level role requires site leadership, contract administration, scheduling, and reporting while traveling to project sites nationwide.

You will work directly with the Project Manager and provide advisory input on contractual and project issues, with opportunities to advance as you gain field

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related professional construction field experience.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of computers and MS Word/Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Willing to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities on job sites.
• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform quantity calculations and assist in work planning.
• Support field surveying, layout, and as-built data compilation.
• Assist in safety reviews, JHA creation, and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups.
