Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer assistant in Charleston, SC. The role supports the Project Engineer by handling drawings, specifications, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes, while fostering professional relationships with project stakeholders.

There are three steps I, II and Senior to progress skill and experience; Step I is the entry level for individuals with some construction-related exposure. A four-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent field experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Openness to progression through Step I, II, and Senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing as-built drawings and submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budgets.
• Maintains working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Supports implementation of the project management plan and change management process.
• Helps in cost control, risk management, and environmental/quality practices on site.
• Oversees/assists BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers and ORD documentation.
