Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer/Engineer I with potential progression to II and Senior. The role focuses on serving as the technical information source for the project, answering questions about drawings, specs, and change orders, and supporting submittals and meetings.

Emphasizes collaboration with owners, A/E, GC subs, and suppliers. The position advances through three steps, with Step I for those with some field/construction experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and processes submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Supports the project management plan and change management processes to ensure work completes successfully.
• Contributes to safety culture and administers the project quality management plan.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs; participates in cost budgeting and control.
• May coordinate BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers; assists in LEED documentation and ORD updates.
