Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an entry-level to senior Project Engineer assistant to act as a technical information source for the project. You will respond to questions about drawings, specs, submittals, and change orders, and assist in writing change orders, RFIs, meeting minutes, and reviews of submittals.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and processing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting; manage agendas and daily reports.
• Understand and support the project management plan (PMP); assist in change management activities and project scope work.
• Administer the project quality management plan and promote a culture of safety on site.
• Assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work; participate in risk management and environmental control processes.
• Coordinate BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• Assist with LEED documentation and ORD creation/update for certification.
• Provide lines, grades and layout when required and maintain an organized logbook.
• Provide weekly quantity reporting and support budgeting/cost control to keep the project within budget; show business acumen.
• Support superintendents in project execution and help resolve field issues as needed.

Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience
