Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Project Engineer—a technical information source on the project with thorough knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts and change orders. The role supports owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, and may assist with supervision of Field Engineers, across three progression steps.

Responsibilities include coordinating procurement with CPM, managing submittals, budgets, and project documents; maintaining logs and change orders; and

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and applicable codes/standards.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent with 3–4 years of experience in construction engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Understand the project management plan components and change management process.
• Develop procurement schedule and integrate with CPM schedule; coordinate submittals.
• Understand contracts, budgets and cost control; manage budgets to stay within approved amounts.
• Maintain As-built contract documents and close-out requirements; prepare O&M manuals and warranties.
• Participate in concrete form design and takeoffs for major quantities as required.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members to ensure relentless execution.
