Job summary

Sundt Construction in Little Rock, AR is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer Assistant to support the project engineer as a technical information source for drawings, specifications, shop drawings, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.

You will work with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, participate in LEED coordination and BIM coordination, and assist in budget forecasting and cost control while upholding safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• Ability to interface and communicate with others is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and in processing submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budgets.
• Supports the project management plan and change management process; assists in project scope activities.
• Supports safety programs and administers the project quality management plan.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work and contribute to cost control.
• Provides support to superintendents for execution of the work and helps resolve field problems.
