Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Construction Field Engineer to lead health and safety on site, ensure quality reporting and workmanship, and advise Project Management on contractual issues. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will handle contract administration, scheduling, and project reporting while traveling to multiple job sites across the U.S.

The role requires strong field engineering capability, experience reading drawings, and the ability to relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related professional experience in the construction field.
• Ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of computers and MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining completed work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and packages for field operations.
• Assist in field surveying and data collection including as-built data.
• Assist in labor/time reporting and JHA preparations.
• Support safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate field activities.
• Supervise field operations and coordinate with project management.
