Job summary

Kiewit Energy seeks an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to lead electrical field engineering on EPC projects for the Oil, Gas, & Chemical market. You’ll be a job-site leader in safety, reporting quality, and ethics, handling planning, scheduling, procurement, and progress/financial reporting for complex electrical installations.

You will coordinate with clients and the design team, supervise subcontractors, and mentor a project team. Willingness to travel/relocate as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a degree in Construction Management or related degree.
• 3+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of NEC; capable of interpreting drawings and schedules.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with project planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Review proposals, specifications and drawings; perform material takeoffs.
• Prepare cost estimates and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Interpret drawings for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and track installed materials and work.
• Prepare work plans and work packages; develop Job Hazard Analyses.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Engineers on electrical projects; mentor a team.
