Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. seeks a General Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects, supervise 50+ personnel, and ensure safe installation, alteration, addition and repair of electrical systems on site in Indiana.

You will report to the Operations Manager, interact with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, drive project planning, scheduling, budgets, and quality control, and foster customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Four+ years of field supervision/management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and oversee multiple projects, including on-site supervision of field staff.
• Lay out project work and ensure materials and equipment meet scope and schedule.
• Manage projects, trade contractors, and field personnel to meet budget, time, and quality goals.
• Review project documents, plans, and specs; direct construction activities and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel.
• Collaborate with HR, Estimating, Accounting, Finance and other staff.
• Interact with owners, owner reps, architects, engineers, and vendors.
