Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to lead electrical field engineering on EPC projects within the Oil, Gas, & Chemical market. You will manage electrical planning, scheduling, procurement, and reporting, while ensuring safety and quality on site.

The role requires a degree in Construction Management or related field and at least 3 years of electrical construction experience, with strong knowledge of NEC, safety standards, and construction tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of electrical construction experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with project scheduling and cost control; ability to read specs and drawings.
• Familiarity with MS Office; experience with project planning tools (SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, ProLog, Primavera P6).

Responsibilities

• Support administrative and construction activities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Review proposals, specifications and drawings; perform material takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Attend pre-bid investigation meetings and coordinate with field crews and supervision.
• Assist in supervision of subcontractors and communication with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, track costs and materials; schedule equipment.
• Collaborate with Superintendents, Field Engineers and craft teams in electrical discipline.
