Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader for a full-time traveling assignment supporting our Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables segments. You will enforce EH&S programs on site, lead safety training, and guide project teams with environmental risk management.

You will collaborate with HQ EH&S, subcontractors, and JV partners to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations; develop safety and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field; minimum of 7 years of related construction safety experience or equivalent
• CHST certification required or within 6 months of appointment
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training and maintain First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations
• Working knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
• Experience in incident management and response; ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions
• Management experience with ability to delegate and direct work of others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation delivery
• Interpersonal skills to build teams and professional relationships
• Ability to work in a non-structured environment and prioritize responsibilities; travel required

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and enforce EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy
• Build relationships to lead EH&S programs and drive safety culture
• Assess EH&S practices and exposures; develop and implement risk mitigation actions
• Communicate requirements to project leadership and teams, including subcontractors
• Lead training of EH&S policies and environmental programs for project teams
• Review environmental reports and regulations (OSHA/EPA) and advise leadership
• Develop and implement safety, health, and wellbeing programs for the project
• Produce reports on safety performance and present to stakeholders
• Negotiate contracts for safety services and on-site health facilities
• Mentor Project Safety team and contribute to performance appraisals
• Handle additional duties as assigned
