Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead the EH&S program on a single Columbus project. You will enforce policies, assess exposures, and drive corrective actions with project teams.

Responsibilities include training staff, subcontractor safety reviews, incident trend analysis, and reporting to leadership. A CHST certification and OSHA 30-hour training are required, with strong communication and leadership skills essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field required.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training completed; First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications maintained.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify safety exposures and lead corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project per HQ policy.
• Provide safety leadership and allocate resources for the project.
• Develop action plans to mitigate risks and improve safety awareness.
• Train project teams, employees, subcontractors, and Turner Trade staff on EH&S programs.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance with policies and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and report violations with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project leadership to generate safety reports and metrics.
