Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety leader for a full-time traveling assignment supporting Market Segments including Data Centers in Boise, ID. Lead EH&S on a project, train staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations.

You will mentor the Project Safety team, develop safety programs, and collaborate with HQ EH&S and project teams to mitigate environmental risks across phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field plus 7 years construction safety experience.
• CHST certification or within 6 months of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training; First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications current.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations.
• Experience in incident management and leading corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single project per HQ policy.
• Build relationships to lead EH&S programs and drive safety culture changes.
• Assess EH&S practices and mitigate known and potential safety exposures.
• Communicate requirements to project leadership to ensure compliance.
• Lead training of EH&S policies and environmental programs with project teams.
• Analyze Phase I/II and pre-demolition surveys to address environmental risks.
• Review environmental reports and advise on OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Develop safety, health and wellbeing programs for the project.
• Develop reports on safety performance for meetings with stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors for safety services and on-site health facilities.
• Mentor and manage Project Safety team and support hiring/training.
