TEKsystems seeks a Desktop Support Technician for a traveling role servicing Seattle area clients. This contract-to-hire position is based in Seattle, WA with responsibilities across multiple branch locations.

You will handle Tier 1–2 IT issues, imaging desktops, managing VDI, and mentoring junior technicians while complying with ITIL practices. Travel and background checks required; compensation is $33.00-$39.00 per hour.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to drive/travel to the different branch locations throughout the Seattle surrounding areas.
• 3 years of IT Support experience with a mid-to-large size org (more hardware heavy preferred - will be imaging).
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• Active Directory (GPO needed).
• Working knowledge of Intune/SCCM and knowing how to navigate is preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.
• Proficiency with physical install and break down of workstations and workspaces.
• Must be willing to submit to a soft credit check and bg check.

Aufgaben

• Resolve Tier 1 and 2 technology issues received via IT ticketing system, and resolves or forwards to a designated IT team member.
• Handle escalation requests in a timely manner.
• Format, install, set up, image and maintain desktop and laptop computers based on end user specifications in a VDI environment.
• Follow technical documentation and identify gaps, making recommendations for process improvement.
• Train and mentor less experienced Desktop Support Technicians or temporary employees/new hires.
• Pack and process e-waste in accordance with department procedures and policies.
• Maintain current knowledge of computer technology and make recommendations on new types of equipment and operational methods based on business needs.
• Troubleshoot and support the client side of our VDI environment.
• Maintain and adhere to our asset management policies and procedures.
