Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a qualified professional to develop, manage, and complete a detailed job plan for assigned commercial construction projects. You will work under the Site Superintendent and with the Project Manager to ensure schedules, resources, and safety standards are met throughout project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience, plus 3+ years in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and codes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage personnel issues and priorities.
• Proficiency with reading plans/blueprints and interfacing with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive job plan with schedule and resources.
• Procure tools, labor, and some materials.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules based on reports and costs.
• Ensure safety policies and company procedures are followed.
• Lead and train field teams and participate in PM planning.
