Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to perform field testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel across diverse sites nationwide. You will travel 100% to project locations, coordinate with project managers, and deliver accurate data through written and digital reports.

A strong safety mindset and ability to work independently are essential.

Formación

• ACI certification for Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
• ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
• Certified in radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation
• Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
• NICET Level II certifications in testing and geotechnical areas
• ICC certifications in reinforced concrete and other categories
• AWS CAWI certification
• ASNT Level II VT/MT/PT/RT/UT certifications

Responsabilidades

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed per trained procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and submits results to Project Manager.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment and related tooling.
• Adheres to strict safety standards on all projects.
• Communicates project details with PM and field personnel.
• Ensures quality standards and meets productivity goals.
• Works across diverse teams in multiple geographic locations.

Educación

NICET Level II certification in Construction Materials Testing

NICET Level II certification in Geotechnical

ICC certification (multiple categories)

AWS Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI)

ASNT Level II certification (VT/MT/PT/RT/UT)

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I

ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician

Radiation safety & Nuclear Density Gauge operation
