Job summary

Terracon in the United States seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our nationwide team, traveling 100% to work on transportation, commercial, wind, and other projects across the Gulf Coast division, including TN, LA, MS, AL, and GA.

You will perform field testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, report findings to the Project Manager, and help ensure safety and quality on every site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of construction materials testing experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
• Communicate project requirements and testing results with the project team and client representatives.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare data and observations for daily reporting to the Project Manager.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and site safety standards on all projects.
