Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our national team. This 100% travel role supports projects across Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia, testing soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel while delivering accurate field data and daily reports.

You will collaborate with project managers and field staff, maintain equipment and safety standards, and adapt to varied sites and schedules on a wide range of high-profile construction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant construction materials testing experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and team.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and pre-task planning; reports safety issues.
