Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our nationwide team. This role requires 100% travel across the Gulf Coast division and other states, testing soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel on diverse projects.

You will perform field testing, observations, and data collection, then prepare reports for project managers. A high school diploma and willingness to travel are required, withACI certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of experience in construction materials testing or field work.
• Willingness to travel 100% and stay away from home for extended periods.
• Valid driver''s license may be required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Internal safety certifications completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with documentation.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in daily reports.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Follow safety rules and practices on all projects.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians.
• Ensure quality standards and proactive risk mitigation.
