Job summary

Terracon Gulf Coast seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician for nationwide fieldwork, covering soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel with 100% travel across our Gulf Coast division including Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

You will collect samples, document results, communicate with project managers and clients, and submit data and observations daily. Maintain equipment and follow strict safety standards across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months experience required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods.
• Flexibility for varying schedules including overtime and weekends.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Travel 100% to work on multiple projects nationwide.
• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with Project Manager, engineering technicians, and clients regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare data reports for submission.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas; assist with scheduling.
