Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our Gulf Coast division with 100% travel across MS, TN, LA, AL and GA. You will perform field testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt and steel and prepare data reports for the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, safe site operations, and coordinating testing across multiple projects. Travel 100%, obtain ACI within 90 days; Nuclear Density Gauge certification preferred within 6 months;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ACI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Willingness to travel 100% for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate with Project Manager, engineers, and client reps regarding requirements and results.
• Transport samples to the laboratory and prepare written/digital reports.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist with scheduling.
