Terracon seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials on high-profile projects nationwide. The role requires traveling 100% of the time across Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia, with potential travel to other states.

You will collect samples, document results, and communicate findings to project teams while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willingness to travel up to 100% and for extended periods without travel home.
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and extended shifts as project demands require.
A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsabilités

Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submittal to the Project Manager.
Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed.
Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
Follows safety rules and practices and reports safety issues to management.
Maintains quality standards on all projects.
Works independently with limited supervision and as part of a team across multiple locations.
