Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician for 100% travel to Gulf Coast division projects nationwide. You will conduct field testing on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, and prepare reports for the Project Manager.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and independent work across diverse sites, with responsibilities including equipment maintenance and data documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months is preferred.
• Successful completion of internal safety certifications may be required.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and work extended hours as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with clean history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist on testing and observations under supervision, performing basic field tasks.
• Communicate findings clearly to Project Manager and team.
• Submit documentation and results as directed by Project Manager.
• Travel to multiple sites nationwide, maintaining safety and data quality.
• Operate and maintain field equipment and transport samples to the lab.
• Support scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
