Job summary

Dennis Group seeks a Construction Manager to supervise on-site construction activities for food and beverage process facilities. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site safety programs, and monitor project schedule and budget across multiple engineering teams.

You will lead contract administration, project planning, and reporting while collaborating with owners, subs, and A/E teams. Strong communication and field tech skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of design-build experience on industrial projects is strongly preferred.
• 4+ years overseeing sub-contractors and driving project schedules.
• 4+ years of client interaction experience with strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible job site experience on industrial building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to projects across the USA and possibly Canada.
• Work schedule: 10 days onsite, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and coordination with subcontractors.
• Coordinate and manage field engineers or junior construction managers as directed.
• Develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule with project management.
• Manage project accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
• Establish and maintain site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Oversee installation of process, mechanical, and utility equipment.
• Handle permitting, codes, and regulatory approvals.
• Manage change orders and general construction administration.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspections.
• Supervise third-party testing, inspections, and relationships.
• Prepare and administer third-party agreements.
• Conduct jobsite walkdowns and audits to ensure schedule progress.
• Procure services and equipment; support facility start-up.
• Prepare project reports and logs; ensure schedule compliance.
