Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to supervise field operations on medium to large industrial projects, coordinating subcontractors, safety programs, schedules and budgets. The role requires strong communication and collaboration with owners, subs, and A/E teams.

You will oversee contract administration, permitting, inspections, and project reporting, while driving schedule adherence and cost control across multiple facilities, including travel up to 100% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in construction field preferred.
• Design-build experience on industrial projects preferred.
• Overseeing sub-contractors and driving project schedule.
• Client interaction experience with strong technical/organizational skills.
• Progressively responsible field experience on industrial building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules and budgets.
• AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities including coordination of subcontractors and site safety programs.
• Work with project management to develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establish and maintain site safety procedures with our safety team.
• Oversee process, mechanical and utility equipment installations.
• Permitting, code and regulatory administration and approval.
• Change orders and general construction administration.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspection activities.
• Manage third party testing, inspection, and relationships.
• Prepare and maintain project reports and logs.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure schedule compliance and explore alternatives.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in preparing work plans and packages and interpreting drawings for field crews.
• Support project close-out activities and client billing coordination.
