Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Construction Manager to supervise daily construction activities at food and beverage process facilities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring site safety, managing schedule and budget. This role requires strong communication and ability to work with owners, subs, and architects.

You will oversee field and office tasks, review submittals and change orders, participate in permits and approvals, and travel up to 100% across the USA and Canada.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Design-build experience over industrial projects (strongly preferred).
• Overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• Client interaction experience - strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• Progressively responsible job site experience working on industrial building projects.
• You have a fundamental understanding of all phases of construction and an ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Meet Travel requirement – Up to 100% travel to projects throughout the USA and possible Canada.
• Work Schedule requirement – Work 10 days onsite, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medium-sized projects autonomously.
• Develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule with project management.
• Project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establish site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Oversee equipment installations (process, mechanical, and utility).
• Handle permitting, code and regulatory administration and approvals.
• Coordinate change orders and general construction administration.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspections.
• Manage third-party testing and client/vendor relationships.
• Promote continuous communication among project participants with owners, subs, and A/E teams.
