Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a Branch Support Officer to represent the bank at multiple branch locations in California. The role involves processing cash and non-cash transactions, quality control, and supporting daily branch operations while traveling between assignments.

Ideal candidates have 5 years in branch operations, supervisory exposure, and solid knowledge of banking regulations and branch systems, including Word and Excel. Travel between branches is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years in branch operations is required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the operational regulatory environment with thorough knowledge of banking operations.
• Solid understanding of key branch systems; basic end-user knowledge of Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved in quality control for assigned region.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities, when appropriate, in accordance with the Bank’s policies.
• Plan and schedule the daily workflow and coordinate with other areas as required to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory deadlines.
• Assure high quality and friendly customer service and adherence to sales and brand standards.
• Resolve customer inquiries/complaints and situations in a positive professional and efficient manner.
• Promote effective sales and service environment.
• Monitor Tellers’ performance relative to losses, differences and referrals. When appropriate, coach for improved performance.
• Approve transactions within established guidelines.
• Participate in the opening and closing of branch.
• Conduct security inspection of building and grounds under dual control.
