Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily workflow and coordinate with other areas to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory deadlines.
  • Provide high-quality, friendly customer service and adherence to brand standards.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and situations in a positive, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Promote an effective sales and service environment.
  • Monitor Teller performance related to losses and referrals and provide coaching to improve performance.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Branch Support Officer represents the Bank in the community and provides a superior level of service while assisting clients with financial transactions. This role performs quality control assignments, promotes the Bank’s services, and supports daily branch service and operations through expanded knowledge and customer service. The Branch Support Officer travels between temporary assignments at branch offices within a designated region and processes cash and non-cash transactions in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Mileage will be paid for travel between assignments.

Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

How You’ll Make a Difference
  • Actively participate in quality control for the assigned region.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities, when appropriate, in accordance with the Bank’s policies.
  • Plan and schedule daily workflow and coordinate with other areas as required to ensure compliance with service standards and regulatory deadlines.
  • Ensure high-quality, friendly customer service and adherence to sales and brand standards.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and situations in a positive, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Promote an effective sales and service environment.
  • Monitor Teller performance related to losses, differences, and referrals and, when appropriate, provide coaching to improve performance.
  • Approve transactions within established guidelines.
  • Participate in opening and closing the branch and conduct security inspections of the building and grounds under dual control.
  • Review daily reports and monthly certifications.
  • Support the branch in achieving satisfactory audit ratings.
  • Identify and mitigate audit ratings.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver employee performance evaluations, goal planning, and counseling.
  • Manage, support, coach, and train staff.
  • Follow all established policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • Five years of branch operations experience required.
  • Solid understanding of the operational regulatory environment, with thorough knowledge of banking operations, required.
  • Solid understanding of key branch systems and basic end-user knowledge of Word and Excel required.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate, with the ability to organize and prioritize, demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and manage and organize projects and workloads.
  • Ability to travel between branch locations, potentially across states, and review and maintain knowledge of departmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Solid skills to manage or guide others as a floating or interim manager when needed.
  • Ability to manage high-quality, friendly client service and adherence to brand standards; identify opportunities to refer new products and services to clients based on their financial goals; and service client needs through completion.
  • Ability to establish and maintain internal and external relationships by understanding needs and regularly seeking opportunities to mentor and train other team members for success.
  • Ability to engage others in a friendly and reliable manner, listen for expressed and unexpressed needs, and translate those needs into action.
  • Actively seeks new challenges and opportunities to expand their skill set, answer questions without having all information, and work comfortably and successfully in multiple environments.
  • Ability to drive results through others, solve problems with minimal direction, and work effectively across multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to manage individual risk and begin taking responsibility for the risk of the broader branch, with a developing understanding of how strategic plans mitigate risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and coach a team as an interim or as-needed manager.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or higher strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
