Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Repair Technician II or Tech III for a remote, hourly role requiring 100% travel across the Northwest. You will perform major component exchanges on wind turbines, traveling to sites to minimize downtime and maximize turbine performance.

With wind technician experience and a safety-first approach, you will lead or support gearboxes, generators and retrofits, while documenting work and following GWO-style training.

Qualifications

• Wind turbine repair experience with hands-on MCE work.
• Strong focus on safety and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to travel 100% across the Northwest region and operate across varied sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and other critical systems.
• Execute maintenance, minor to medium repairs, retrofits and special projects following procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across multiple sites and conditions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality work.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure working environment.
