Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Major Component Exchange/Repair Technician II for a remote, travel-heavy role. You will lead or support exchanges of major turbine components, perform repairs and retrofits, and travel extensively to sites across the South region. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and high-quality work.

Requires wind technician experience, strong safety record, and ability to work in varied site conditions. 100% travel, with overtime and potential earnings of over $100k annually.

Qualifications

• Proven wind turbine experience and hands-on MCE work preferred.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions and manuals.
• Willingness to travel 100% across regions and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety for all personnel on site.
• Perform major component exchanges (gearboxes, generators, etc.).
• Execute maintenance, repairs, retrofits and special projects per procedures.
• Travel extensively to support turbine operations across sites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain secure environments.
• Gain exposure to diverse turbine platforms and site conditions.
